Caroline: Bonjour, Je trouve la prof de français très sympa, et vous?	Caroline: Hello, I found the French teacher very friendly, and you?
Cynthia: Moi aussi, elle est très gentille et amusante.	Cynthia: Me too, she’s very nice and fun.
Caroline: On pourrait se présenter, je m’appelle Caroline. Je suis arrivée au Canada il y a un an, et vous?	Caroline: Let us introduce ourselves, my name is Caroline. I came to Canada one year ago, what about you?
Cynthia: Bonjour Caroline, enchantée de vous connaître. Je suis Cynthia et voilà Pierre, mon mari. Nous sommes arrivés au Canada il y a 4 ans et demi. Je suis bolivienne.	Cynthia: Hi Caroline, pleased to meet you. I’m Cynthia and now Peter, my husband. We have arrived to Canada four and a half years ago. I am Bolivian.
Pierre: …et moi je suis français. Enchanté Caroline.	Peter: … and I’m french, delighted Carolina.
Caroline: Enchantée, Pierre.	Caroline: Nice to meet you Peter.
Pierre: Je viens juste d’arriver de Montréal, je travaille dans une banque. J’ai une formation d’informaticien. Et vous, où travaillez- vous?	Peter: I just arrived from Montreal, I work in a bank. I have computer training. Where do you work?
Caroline: Je travaille dans une école. Je suis professeure de musique et d’histoire. Et vous Cynthia qu’est-ce que vous faites dans la vie?	Caroline: I work in a school. I am a music and history teacher. Cynthia, what you do for a living?
Cynthia: Je fais de la recherche en psychologie.	Cynthia: I do research in psychology.
Caroline: Comme c’est intéressant!	Caroline: How interesting!
Pierre: Mais vous parlez très bien le français Caroline	Peter: Caroline you speak French very good.
Caroline: Merci, j’ai vécu 2 ans en France, j’ai fait mes études de musique au conservatoire. Mais si vous voulez on pourrait se tutoyer!	Caroline: Thanks, I lived two years in France, I did my studies in music at the conservatory. But if you want you can say ‘Tu’ (informal version of you) to me!
Cynthia: D’accord, «vous»… pardon «tu» es mariée?	Cynthia: Okay, are you married?
Caroline: Non, je suis célibataire. Et vous, est-ce que vous avez des enfants?	Caroline: No, I’m single. And you, do you have children?
Pierre: Oui, nous avons deux filles, voici leurs photos.	Peter: Yes, we have two daughters, here are their pictures.
Caroline: Oh… elles sont mignonnes!	Caroline: Oh … they are so cute!
Cynthia: Mais, quelle heure est-il?, nous devons retourner à la classe…	Cynthia: What time is it ? We have to return to the classroom …
Caroline: Oui, on y va	Caroline: Yes, let’s go.
Pierre: A bientôt Caroline, c’est un plaisir de t’avoir rencontré.	Peter: Caroline, it’s a pleasure to meet you.
Caroline: Le plaisir est pour moi Cynthia et Pierre.	Caroline: The pleasure is mine Cynthia and Peter.
Cynthia: Alors, à bientôt.	Cynthia: See you soon.
Caroline: Oui, au revoir.	Caroline: Ok, Goodbye.
