She was chosen to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1967 through the internal election of Télé-Luxembourg and has since been recorded by numerous artists, notably the French conductor Paul Mauriat, whose instrumental version of the song became the only success of a French artist who topped the American Billboard Hot list.
