DELF A1 Prim
DELF A1 Prim is the first level of the DELF exams specifically designed for children aged 7 to 12. It evaluates basic French language skills and is tailored to the interests and abilities of young learners. The A1 Prim exam recognizes that children at this level can:
Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and simple phrases.
Introduce themselves and ask basic questions (like name, age, hobbies) to others.
Communicate in simple tasks like talking about their family, favorite foods, or daily activities.
Write short, simple texts such as postcards or short descriptions of things they like.
The exam is structured into four parts:
Listening (about 20 minutes): Children listen to simple conversations or short instructions.
Reading (about 20 minutes): They read brief texts or look at pictures with captions.
Writing (about 20 minutes): They complete basic writing tasks, such as filling in forms or writing short sentences.
Speaking (5-7 minutes): The child introduces themselves, answers simple questions, and engages in basic dialogue.
