One : 

When you answer the question:

How are you? In English you answer 

I am fine. 

Wrong = Je suis bien

Correct = Je vais bien (verbe Aller)

Note: Je suis bien exists. But it is a state of wellbeing. 

 

Two :

When you answer the question:

How old are you? In English you say

I am 25. 

Wrong = Je suis 25 ans. 

Correct = J’ai 25 ans (verbe Avoir)

 

Three : 

When you answer to  the question:

How is the weather? In English you say

It is nice. 

Wrong = Il est beau. 

Correct =Il fait beau (verbe faire)

 

Four :

When you ask:

Can I ask a question? You say

Wrong = Est-ce que je peux demander une question?

Correct = Est-ce que je peux poser une question? (verbe poser)

Note:Demander quelque chose….

 

Five :

When you answer the question:

What did you do on the weekend? In English you answer

I visited my parents

Wrong = J’ai visité mes parents 

Correct = j’ai rendu visite à mes parents

Note: J’ai visité is used for places..spaces… 

Ex: j’ai visité le musée de Louvre, j’ai visité son appartement
